The Raven: Edgar Allen Poe
I guess the poem is about this bird, that's sitting outside. He's very interested in this bird, like its a gift from the heavens, or an angel if you will. He's sitting in his room alone while this "raven" is perched outside of his chamber. The rhyme sceme I see is A B A B. I don't quite get the meaning of the poem, if this raven brings him joy, or if it's even a real bird or not. I don't know if he's metaphorically speaking or not.

Annie,
ReplyDeleteYou are almost right; the man was sitting at home it was midnight in December he is reading and thinking about Lenore who is someone who died. Then strange tapping at the door and wind at the window began to frighten him. The rest of what you said is dead on. Good job Annie!
