Metaphor

I would compare my mornings to finding an emty pizza box.
Exited to start the day, like you're exited to eat the pizza.
But my day ends up disappointing, and im tired.
Just like realizing the pizza box is empty, you're
disappointed and still hungry.
If she had said "each day" instead of "mornings"
it really wouldn't make any different.
Each morning, each day, same thing?
